One of the most common questions I’ve been hearing from New York City transplants who want to move to Connecticut is, “What Connecticut towns have the best commute into NYC?”

First we should talk about why Connecticut is a desirable location for people leaving New York City. Beyond the fact that Connecticut has the lowest maximum state income tax rate in the tri-state area (6.99% is nearly two percentage points lower than New York state and New Jersey), Connecticut is made up of beautiful parks, beaches, and neighborhoods that are great for quarantine lifestyle. 

Additionally, the cost of a four-bedroom home with a backyard in a desirable Connecticut commuter town would be equivalent to a two-bedroom, one bath apartment in Manhattan.
